Scott Tobin aka Shea Muah

Scott is originally from Kippens, Newfoundland and Labrador and developed a love for theatre when he was young. He played leading roles in his school’s major productions (most notably Bang Bang You’re Dead and Spectrum Six) and won three outstanding regional actor awards. Outside of school, he was a part of several community productions and musicals including Oliver and Fiddler on the Roof. His passion for the arts lived on after this time through music and education. During his teaching career he was a drama coach at Bay d’Espoir Academy and his drama troupe participated in regional, provincial, and Atlantic competitions with their production of Young Goodman Brown. Now, he is over the moon with excitement with his role as his own drag persona, Shea Muah, in this “effervescent and eclectic” production. Shea Muah (a play on words from the French expression “Chez moi –     my home”) is a débutante queen in the St. John’s drag scene. She started performing in July 2019 at the Pride Extravaganza show where she made her mark on the stage and has been performing ever since. Other appearances include: Shady Street,  SPILL THE TEA, Reading Isn’t a Drag, La Cage Drag Contest, Drag Idol 2019, Christmas is a DRAG!, and her first production La Révolution. Even though her drag is just starting, she has already been awarded Best Newcomer Queen and Runner-Up at the TaDa! La Cage Drag Contest and Runner-Up at Drag Idol 2019. Shea loves marrying French, theatre, vintage nuances, and drag. A penchion for power ballads and musicals, she tells stories through her performances from the first beat to the final flourish.
