Eda Kumquat AKA David W. Green

Eda Kumquat is simultaneously a sweetheart and sour puss. She’s so sugary sweet that she’ll give you a cavity today and Diabetes tomorrow. She’s the kind of sour that makes your eyes bulge in excitement, lips pucker in adulation, and tongue bleed from gross overindulgence. She’s a member of the Phlegm Fatales drag collective; winner of Queen of the Night and the La Cage Drag Contest; and creator of Newfound Drag.  When the sun rises and Eda goes to sleep, David works as a travel and accommodations coordinator in film and television.  He holds an Honours Diploma in Arts Management from Harris Institute for the Arts and a Diploma in Performance and Communications Media from Memorial University. He has worn many hats in the world of theatre as an actor, director, stage manager, and lighting designer; but David feels most at home while performing on a stage. Fortunately for you, Eda and David have coordinated their schedules to bring your favourite saucy maid, Jacob, to life in Newfoundland’s first-ever production of La Cage Aux Folles. So, buckle up — or rather loosen that belt buckle — and prepare to feast because they’re about to whet your whistle in ways that Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking never could.
