Meghan Herder

Born and raised in Newfoundland, Meghan has been performing in musicals since the age of eight.  Her favourite credits include Maria in The Sound of Music, Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins, Morticia Addams in The Addams Family, and Belle in Beauty and The Beast.  Most recently, Meghan was seen in The Phantom of the Opera with Opera on the Avalon. She currently lives in St. John’s, is a Voice Professor at MUN School of Music and runs a private voice studio – Meghan Herder Voice Studio.  She studied voice at the prestigious Westminster College in Princeton, where she completed her Masters in Voice Performance and Vocal Pedagogy and her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Memorial University. While attending Westminster, Meghan performed the lead role in Handel’s opera Oreste and was honoured to receive the sole scholarship given to a graduate student with the highest potential.  Thank you Terri, Evan, Pam and Amy for your support and direction.
